Well, i went out to the quarry garage to find out that someone stole a shitload of custom parts off my buddy chris’ 300zx.
This car has/had the single turbo vg30 setup on it, pretty much a one-of-a-kind deal, which no one else has in the USA, so these parts (mainly the intercooler) are very unique. So, whoever stole it, you made a big mistake.
There probably is more, I just could not see too well with it being dark. I am very dissapointed, mainly becuase this is all ONE-OFF stuff (mainly the intercooler) which was made to work with a single turbo to dual throttle body car, which no car other than a single-turbo Z has, and my Z was the only single turbo car in the country.
Chris had no insurance (nor would they probably cover parts like this) so this is especially frustrating. He has had nothing but problems with this car, and then something like this happens, which makes things even worse.
What they stole:
- 76mm Precision Turbocharger ($2200) mainly used on toyota supra’s
- Custom Spearco Core intercooler w/ custom endtanks ($1000)
- Autometer boost gauge
- Autometer pyrometer guage
- PLX Devices Wideband O2 display/controller
- Tial 44mm gate anodized red
I am going to post pics of these parts, so keep an eye and ear out for anyone selling this stuff. I am located/this happened in Altoona, PA, about 1.5 hrs east of pittsburgh.
