Things to see in Utica and Syracuse, NY?

Hi guys,

So, this weekend I am driving to Utica, NY to pickup a merchandise I found on Craigslist. That means I will be driving, passing trough Rochester, Syracuse and Utica.

Anything interesting things to see in Syracuse and Utica? Any important/unique landmarks? Any good restaurant in Utica, NY for lunch, perhaps?

I am thinking of stopping by, perhaps 2 to 2.5 hours per city just to look around…

Thanks!

I’ve got relatives in both the Utica and Syracuse areas and my personal opinion would be to… just keep on driving.

you can go and see one of the the hockey rinks from the original “slapshot” movie! lol

Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester or Syracuse

i used to eat at

Babe’s Macaroni Grill & Bar‎ -
80 N Genesee St, Utica, NY‎ -

a lot when i was out there for school

I went to the syracuse zoo last time i was there.

Don’t waste your time. LOL

There are homeless people under bridges in Syracuse. As shitty as Buffalo is you don’t get to see that here.

Otherwise, just pick your shit up and come back. :stuck_out_tongue:

+1 Both are good, but the syracuse one is better. Seriously dont skip it.

Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

you mean steroid hall of fame. wonder how many people should be removed from the hall of fame for steroid use. lol no cheaters should be in there.

There is a nice cart track nearby Chery Valley Race Track. We used to rac the pocket bikes there.

Akuma

Attend a race at one of the many dirt tracks in the area http://www.chasinracin.com/track-locator/states/ny.shtml

haha just keep driving through Utica… trustttt me

Thanks for the input, guys!

Dinosaur BBQ and Babe’s Macaroni sounds interesting.

Any unique landmarks (i.e. Philly’s LOVE sign park, etc.) to see?

When you’re in Utica you can check out the Matt’s brewery. They make Saranac there.

LOL! Just your other thread in newbie section. Welcome to the forum!

Really? Nothing worth stopping in Utica? :mamoru:

Splendid idea! I just finished their 6-pack Adirondack trail and currently enjoying the 12-pack Summer beers.

very true. last time i was in utica i tried to go check it out but they werent offering the tour that day…

:banghead: You are an idiot. Mid 1990’s to now is the steroid era. Baseball has been around since the late 1800’s so i’d say not too many people. No wonder people pick on you so much.

or maybe i dont watch baseball because its to boring, no contact, a pussy sport that anyone that cant play a full contact sport would take up. find a new sport.
