I don’t think I could ever rent, I could see myself owning a crappy house over renting.
:wow
same
1500 or so here.
My 3 bedroom is around 2700 right now and that’s a good deal.
Yeah i have a 3 bedroom, im a little under 2000 here
My ex-gf pays like 4 something for her studio apartment… it’s not bad but it’s not really that nice either.
$4K for a studio? That’s ridiculous. Even the upper east side is in the $2’s.
Chris Roberts? He is the manager there. I used to work there…he has a house though. Must be someone else?
Maybe Jesse Sidoti? He isn’t the manager though and last I heard he doesn’t even work at Radio Shack anymore?
u guys spending over 2k on apartments, why the hell would you want to do that? You can have a NASTY house for the same money
ok j/.k dont answer that cuz then this thread is gonna turn into renting vs owning
He meant $4xx?
LOL yea i see that now haha i was gonna say, 4 k is a shit ton but 400 is a steal
Colonie East Apartments :number1
id love to own my own place, or atleast rent my own place. it just doesnt make sense for me living in fl for most of the year, I’l just live with my parents for a few months a year. no biggie. but if anybody was in a spot for a summer and needed to split an apartment i would totally be down for that.
holy shit!
wow :wtf
Maybe in albany you can get a nasty house for under 2k a month, not here you cant, i dont live near albany anymore.
Real Estate costs are low in the Albany area, I live in between Hartford and New Haven, its pretty expensive to live, but theres better paying jobs also so it evens out really
$4XX? I wouldn’t live there unless it’s like TN. But, yea, I wouldn’t live there.
If it’s $2K for apartments, then imagine the real estate costs. Yea, it would be a better option to buy a house but it’s not an easy decision to buy a $700-$1.X million house. If I knew I wanted to be here the next 10 years or so, I would have pulled the trigger.
Hundred… :lmao
to add to what Shawn already said… I know everyone’s definition of NASTY is different, but I don’t think a NASTY house could be had for 2K/month even in this area.
Go to that times union home search thing, find a house that meets your NASTY quals and then use the little mortgage calculator on the right side of the page… you’re gonna be surprised.
yup, i may be able to buy a trailer in the neighborhood i want to live in in CT for 2k a month hahaha (exaggerating of course). Housing out here is expensive, not too crazy but for a decent house in a nice neighborhood you have to spend 250-300k
