in the summer time i see sooo many bikers doing crazy shit, and i doubt they’re all new riders. and yea, not all bikers are out of their minds, some do drive normally
in the summer time i see soooo many cars do crazy shit, and i doubt they are all new drivers…
the ratio of crazy bikers to crazy car drivers is like 10:1
is that a fact? or is that only what you notice.
because i see people do stupid shit in cars, like blatantly cutting people off, at all ages. 16-90 years old.
so how are you gonna take a small bike population, and say a blanket statement like that?
it has no background or basis, and its ignorant, and all its gonna do is piss people off.
your sig says you’re a member of “sick sixx racing.” so by that I should believe that you only race on the track? judging by that jetta with hubcaps, i’d say you’ve never been on a track. meaning you only assclown on the street.
was that a dumb statement, that i just made? yes. it also has no basis. see how it probably pissed you off? well your statement isn’t so kind to bikers
we’re always gonna get a bad wrap
ROFL
Sad.
it’s not a fact, it’s what i notice. and i dont street race and i dont race at the track either. sorry that im just expressing myself about a lot of the bikers out there. like i said above, not all of them drive like idiots. but when im always seeing bikers going 90mph on the thruways, jumping in and out of traffic at high mph’s, driving inbetween cars and doing stupid shit like that, i dont think too highly of them.
/rant
i guess you don’t really understand until you ride
i ride safe, and almost get killed i’d say 15-20 times per week. that’s not an exxageration, either. ask anyone who rides frequently.
so with that knowledge, i say a lot of cagers fucking suck at driving
I kinda have to agree with both of you guys on this one. Poose because a few summers ago I was starting to drive with a lot of bad riders who were just being silly and getting sorta asshole-ish. These werent people that I knew or ever cruising with, just riders who I happened to come across on the streets. Getting passed on shoulders, wheellieieieingingieng (sp?) past me on the thruway, etc. But the main point is that I started noticing it. It is becoming more frequent with more people getting into it = more bad riders on the road. But that definitely doesnt mean everyone is like that. Actually, i’d say almost every cruise i’ve been on with a bike or 2 has been pretty awesome and not many close calls. It just shows that the ones who are into the sport a lot and take the safety courses get a bad wrap from the dicks.
All bikers have to be more cautious than any driver though, so thats why its a given that people driving cars, trucks, vans and whatnot are going to pay less attention. Plus, bikes are pretty hard to see sometimes. I admit, I have looked one way, then to the other thinking I was clear, but actually there was a bike coming up on the way I looked first. If I had’nt looked again before I turned, he probably woulda went flying over the roof of my car. That’s why im totally for bright neon colored bikes. Dead serious.
yes
and yeaas
I use to have a 99 ZX6R and use to ride with a bunch of really good riders. We use to meat early Sun at Jims Truck Stop and ride down to PA. Those guys taught me a ton about riding and stuff. But later on Sun nights after we got back from PA, we would meat up at Mighty. And that crew was nuts. I never road out of my limits because I knew them. But when your in a pack of riders and 4 out of the ten guys are doing wheelies at 80, shit is bound to hit the fan… I have seen good and bad riders go down. Hell I even got hit on RT 5 my some bitch who blew through the stop sighn. 60 MPH and a Ford F150 dont mix well. Thats the reason why I no longer ride. And not to mention how many times a day people would just turn into me in my lane. People who drive do not pay attention to shit.
But I also think their are your fare share of assholes in every group. I do more stupid shit in my car then I did on my bike. I guess the feeling of the car around you makes you feel safer.
what’s your name?
i’m andre, i had a blue 99 r6 and had a back helmet (now have an 01 r6 and a blue/grey helmet)
Erik… This is going back to 2001 and 2002… I had the green ZX6R and wore a black Spidi Fighter suit, which I still have… Guess I’m holding on to it with hopes of getting another bike some day…
WTF!! he has at least 4 or 5 reallly close calls and still drives like a fuckin’ idiot. Stupid move on driving like a retard even if he is “in control”.
tahts all it takes…
in 02 i had a black ninja 600 with a yoshi pipe
if you see me this summer, im on a blue r6 with a blue/white dainese 1-piece. watch out!
lol
Man I really should pick up another bike… I really miss rolling “Power Ranger Style”…
hahaha.
bikes are a blast. i could have had an rb 240z this summer, but instead chose the bike. (suspension and brakes are enough for the car for now anyway)
I hear you… But I’m the other way around now… Spent a ton on my car this winter…
I should call my friend to see if he can get me a smoking deal on a bike…
good choice…
