THAT IS FUCKING SICK

sweeet…pretty bad ass

Sweetest Evo evar

i wonder why they would want to make the car slower?

that is the best QUESTION ON THIS POST!!!

i wonder why they would want to make the car slower?

Slower…anyways :jerkit: …No doubt an evo is fast and can be made to run insanely fast, but the LS1 is just as easy to make run very fast…imagine if you FI that LS1

:dunno:

The fastest LS1 seems to be 6.95 @ 203. The fastest 4G63 is 6.94 @ 198.

Not favoring either, because frankly I don’t care, I’m just saying that classifying either as “better” is kind of stupid.

maybe im just retarded…

but why is there a blower on the dr side and an intake and filter on the pass side??

That was sort of my point…and everyone knows how solid the LS1 is…

I wonder what the difference in weight is between the 4g63 and the ls1

x2

this is one of those “i did it because i can” type things

It could also be…I blew up my motor so daddy gave me a chevy he had lying around. You never know.

seems like a waste of an LS1. I’d rather see it in a car that wasn’t fast in the first place.

like yins said, the stock motor can be made to run as good, so why go thru the trouble to do it? I’m sure the LS1/trans/rear diff is heavier, and probably negatively affects the handling in some way.

It looks fake to me. It does not seem level enough (like it is pointing upwards in the front). I agree about the blower/air filter arrangement.

EDIT: they say the blower plumbing has not been finished.

:greddy2:

That’s why I quoted you

As far as weight, remember that the LS1 is all aluminum, and the DSM has a cast iron block. Then again, the T56 is probably heavier, but then again, they removed some things, such as the transfer case and such.

I don’t know, it would really be interesting to get weight quotes on both. I’m sure it’s on Google, but I don’t feel like searching.

They say it is lighter than the original setup, but they are not running a T56, either. It has a TH400 in it, which is heavier than a T56/clutch/etc. But I can see your point on the xfer case.

As I read the whole thread, it seems more believable, but I don’t care for it.

Jesse…how is your LSx project coming along? :blue:
I can’t wait to see it done.
