According to a study to be published in Nature, Davis’ team has discovered a clean, safe way to deliver RNAi sequences to cancerous cells. RNAi (Ribonucleic acid interference) is a technique that attacks specific genes in malign cells, disabling functions inside and killing them.

:fingerscrossed:

Sounds promising. If it works I hope it’s not too far off for my dad :frowning:

or my uncle.

That’s wild

Roswell is often in the first group that rolls out new trials…we all can hope…

I would like to know how much it cost’s to tailer them for an individual.

Cancer is the worst thing to watch loved ones go through. So much so that by the end, you are almost relieved.

It’s safer to test on aliens

Roswell is gearing more towards treatment then research with soooo many cuts in funding for research. It sucks but there is still hope. My wife used to work there doing DNA methylation, had a few papers published and moved on to Dosimetry. She see people with the worst cancer you can think of everyday. If we were to life long enough we would all get some sort of cancer, its scary to think about.

theres no profit in the cure for cancer, only in dragging it out. :frowning: would be very nice though.

It’s sad but true. There is no money in curing diseases. Only treating them.

I donated some of my cancer for their research. I sure had enough of it to spare before they loaded my ass up with Chemo and Radiation. I really hope this becomes a viable way to treat it. From experience, I NEVER would wish that hell of treatment on my worst enemy. When (yes when, mine is uncurable, it will be back sooner or later in my life) mine reappears, I would like to have another option that R-Chop and Radiation.

sorry to hear man
