I’m only partially serious. I stumbled onto this today and totally forgot the name of the company that operates there. I never looked at a map to check it out before and always thought it was much smaller.
I know a few people that work there. I would say no matter what your connections are there probably is a very slim chance you’d ever get your own vehicle back there. Too much liability, plus nearly all the work they do there is strictly confidential and a lot of times pretty cutting edge in terms of tire tech. No one realizes what that facility has brought to motorsport/tire tech as a whole. Definitely cool.
Yep. They are doing some drainage, concrete, and paving work and I had to take a look. I was left unsupervised and just had to drive the ramp lol. Yes, you have to get a badge and be escorted to get back there. The ramp is in rough enough shape that I wouldn’t take a car full speed at it. Guy I met told me they don’t use it anymore, and they filmed part of some movie there? can’t remember which one.
I didn’t take any pics because I was told not to… and was afraid if I did a drone would come over and take me out lol
They have security because they’re still a defense contractor.
I forget if it was Calspan or one of the other contractors in that area that was accidentally broadcasting fake airplanes onto the radar for
the Buffalo airport
