Was driving out to a friends property last Sunday to help start his pole barn garage (hopefully my new workspace) and drove by an old airstrip in Evans near Route 20 and Eden Evans Center Rd. Anyway, there was a shitload of cars there. Anyone have any idea what was going on? I like the idea of cars and an airstrip. Whatever it was, I d like to be there.
Evangola airport? It’s where the MSF course runs.
Race Wars.
Yep it’s the Motorcycle Safety class.
I’ve met the owner of the airport. He’s a good guy and drives an S6
Win.
you sound desperate

Seemed like a lot of cars for a motorcycle safety class. Thet run that class on a Sunday? Hoping it was the first annual Evans Mile.
I forgot when they do it. They have a website but I can’t fine it at the moment.
And I’ve driven that strip… you don’t want to really go fast on it, lol. The guy who cuts the brush on the sides (trees) throws them kinda close. That and the police use it for touch-n-goes with their planes.
Is that airstrip active? Possible to autocross there?
Yes (Kinda) & Neg.
I feel the need…the need for speed.
Don’t do it. Let’s just say I have an in with the local law enforcement there and quite a few people have been arrested for doing such.
For doing what?
He’s probably talking about trespassing on the air strip.
We run doubles on the weekend, two ranges are there at the air strip, twelve students on each range, two classes per day, so 24 per session, so up to 48 per day move through that range on weekends, and any of the above can occur on weekdays as well once the summer gets going. I’m teaching a 2 day class @ Eastern Hills mall sat/sun am classroom, and pm range, and there’s an early range as well running a 3 day split with one classroom day during the week. Between ECC North, 2 in Angola, Eastern Hills Mall, and next week NCCC, we’re pretty busy. Scooter and three-wheel classes begin soon as well in addition to the Experienced (now BRC2) and Advanced Rider Course/Sportbike Techniques.
On the air strip you may have seen a hundred or so new chryslers, they’re storing “lots” of cars for Buffalo Auto Auction. 24 hour security is on site, and even before that, you would have been caught on the airstrip guaranteed had you trespassed. The strip isn’t very long either, so don’t be too hurt.
www.ridewpride.com is the website for the school. A taxi company beat us to ride “with” pride dot com.
I can’t imagine anything dealing with a car and the FAA going anywhere good.
Not FAA, just Angola’s “finest”
