Did you use tilt-shift video at one point or was that post processed to look that way?
@bing that red supercharged M3 looks a bit faster than your red supercharged M3
Excellent video as usual
When are we going to sack up and do this? I would travel with our gang to a field if we cannot find one local enough.
Michigan Mile was 4th of July weekend, so that wasn’t going to work. There is another one but I forgot what it’s called.
Amazing vids. Thanks for sharing.
I dont want to mess with one of those established Time Association groups and their events. Their Safety qualifications are way more than 99% of us would do.
I want to rent an airfield…figure out insurance…and have at it.
I tried with Seneca Army Depot, and it doesn’t jive with their “green” agenda. There was another that @MPD47 and I looked at but it was too short.
What about Niagara Falls Airbase?
It’s an active field, militarily and commercially. We’d have the same luck trying to rent BUF.
Niagara Falls Airport only flys commercial on Monday and Friday.
I thought as long as they had 2 run ways it was an option.
Don’t they only have 2 runways? We’ve never looked into it there, especially after having trouble with FORMERLY used runways. And insurance is another matter… the process with our BBQ & Burnouts insurance was hassle enough, lol.
Basically, they have to have two NON INTERSECTING runways for this to even be an option at any place that would even remotely allow it. Or be non functional like Seneca, who no longer allows automotive events of any kind. I suppose the real question is, how far would people be willing to drive for something like this?
And at that point it’s more viable to just jump onto another group’s event.
That’s kinda what I’m getting at. I know people in Virginia trying to organize a roll racing day.
Post for tilt shift.
Thanks!
Ya the Mojave mile is a joke with the amount of safety regulations they have, but I think most of theirs are the airports rules. Its also a solo car run event.
Shift S3ctor does a head to head drag race and the safety regulations they have in place are more then enough. If you can find a 1 runway airport that can shut down for a day, that would be the way to go. It’s a lot of fun and nice to know you’re not breaking the law.
Thanks guys!
I would LOVE to do something like this but I don’t have any vehicles worthy. I would indeed run my W12 to see if it can actually hit the speed that top gear said it could hit. rumor has it somewhere in the 180’s
There was a roll racing event down in PA I posted about it before
Yes, but that’s only 1600ft.
Looks like we are just going to have to close the 990…someone snag some highway vehicles and street closed signs.
Streets closed pizza boy, find another way home
