94 z28. whenever im at a stop if i smash the pedal it bogs bad and then launches what could cause this? i have a new opti i thought that would help and it did a lil bit but not as much as i though it should.think maybe its my throttle postition sensor??? i’m stumped help if ya can.
could be a couple things, check a couple plugs and fuel pressure to start
new plugs,8.5 msd,msd coil, msd cap/rotor. u think if i seafoam the thing it will help???
doubtful…
check the voltage on the tps if you have a multimeter… .its really easy, and its a 2 minute check as to if that’s the problem…
can u explain to me how to do it and what the readings should be? should the car be running?
readings should be above .50 volts (key on, not running, throttle closed) i think u jump the top 2 wires. i know it’s the top 2 wires on a tpi motor. i never really messed with the newer tpi conecters. try driving with it unpluged. the pcm has a fail safe program that kicks on if there is no reading from it and see if it still has the same type of boog
kinda hard to test the tps without a scope. its nearly impossible to detect if it has a deadspot in it with just a voltmeter.
just turn the key to the on position (engine off) put voltmeter at ground and signal wire. with your hand slowly open the throttle there should be a change in voltage. voltage should rise between .5 (closed) and 5v (wide open) when opening the throttle
think its safe to drive unplugged???
which wire is the signal wire?the top wire on the plug?
i dont know off hand. easy way to find out is turn the car on and check with voltmeter. one wire should be ground, one signal and one constant 5v source.
the signal wire should read .5 or around there with the throttle closed. the constant 5v will read 5v no matter wat position the throttle is in
knock senser
how much for the lt4 module?
lt4 module as in?
lt4 knock sensor
i’ll check
cool sounds good
