I think that I might be going to this, so if someone wants to go with me, that would be cool, and I am assuming it will be RX3…
We should set up a list of who is planning on going, so maybe we can all get together and talk about all aspects of going. Maybe I can start a list at the bottom of this post:
Nobody is going in the back seat, so don’t ask. (I hate people in the back)
Tkklemann
RX3 (I know you are going, so don’t give me any lip, punk)
Ok, this event is about a month away. I’m looking at the schedule trying to decide what I want to see. If I’m reading it right, most of the sessions are practice/shakedown until the showdown Sunday, with the exception of the Focus Shootouts. So I’m either looking at going up for Sunday only (for spectating purposes). Who else is going, and what are your plans? I’ll split this into the Meets section once we start finalizing things.
Update on the Time Attack for the 4 or 5 of us that are actually down to go to a real motorsports event:
Due to the continuing repavement project at Mid Ohio still in progress, the time attack will not be held at Mid Ohio. Instead, this will take place at Beaver Run.
NEW DATE: May 13-14 – Beaver Run Motorsports Complex
The good news: THIS MEANS IT’S EVEN CLOSER TO BUFFALO.
The Bad News: It will take sometime to see who will be re-confirmed for the new dates. I’m not sure what kind of attrition the event will suffer due to being moved at such short notice.
Check the Redline Time Attack Website for the full story.
If I can get my harness bar done… maybe. I slide around too much with my seats/seatbelt as they are now. If I can’t secure myself I probably won’t do it. Plus already going there with the bike later on
Why do people need other people to go do something?
If he wants to drive, then go drive. If you have to pee, then go pee, don’t wait for a group of your friends because with this group you will end up pissing yourself…
That being said, should propbably hit up the Flat Out Saturday April 1st, or Friday April 14th.
Guardrail situation is good. I think there is much more runoff than say, Watkins Glen. So you should be ok. I’m sure it varies at different turns, but it’s not too tight.
