Honestly you’ll get more out of the day with fewer distractions. For a Flat Out day it is really well structured and you’ll only have ~20 minutes for personal reflection time and check the car. 20 minute session, 20 minute classroom, 20 minutes to get ready for next session. Some of the classrooms were short.
The day will be less hard on tires than auto-X, but harder on brakes.
Run off is really good. IIRC turn one is the worst and still is really good, you definately will not have a Batavia flashback .
I was planning to go Sunday. As of right now, I’m definitely in spectator mode though. But if you are definitely driving on Saturday, I’ll go up Saturday instead.
Just in case nobody else posted it, but this weekend’s event has been canceled. We have moved the date to May 13th-14th at BeaveRun in Western Pennsylvania.
You can register for both Saturday and Sunday via the Redline Time Attack website. Both days are open to the public. Please make sure to review the weekend schedule at the Time Attack site. Each day you will receive at least 2 hours of track time.
We have also added forums to our website. If you have questions, you can always create an account there and post questions.
Registration for the Time Attack is slowly starting to pick up. We’re hoping to see a solid 40 cars competing on Sunday. There is still plenty of room left open in all classes (Street, Modified, and Unlimited) so if you have had the desire to compete in a Time Attack, Now’s Your Chance!
