Time vs. Distance

Last Jan drove from El Paso TX (ft. bliss) to Olean NY approx 2000miles. Made it in 32 Hours in a 10ft uHual and a tow dolly. Average speed 62.5:tspry:

I don’t have a good long distance one. I have a couple good short ones though.

RIT to Hamburg, about 79 miles, made it in 48 minutes, average speed of 98mph.
RIT to where 90 connects to 690 in Syracuse, 80 miles in 50 minutes, average speed of 96mph.

Eh, it was just to prove you don’t get speeding tickets via ez-pass. I lead a boring life, lol.

Did you get a lot of funny looks when you drove that home covered in painters tape?

Once drove Buffalo to Fort Meyers non stop, 22-23 hours in college. Fought the urge to fall asleep harder than I ever have in my entire life. Got there…couldn’t sleep. Spring break. Once drove from Buffalo to Atlantic City in my Talon TSI with my buddy and his Regal Grand Sport. Don’t remember the elapsed time but I distinctly remember the radar detector plugged in and running 95-100+ most of the way.

i stopped for 3-4 hrs to sleep

no everyone just thought it was blue

I was just talking about this yesterday, me and my buddy made it to Miami in under 18 hours straight through switching sets in a minivan at 100mph on cruise control.

Miami FL, to Tonawanda, NY. 1400mi. In 17hrs including 4 stops for fuel and one of those included sitting down and eating at subway. Averaged 83mph by hand, but the display in the car said an average 97mph. Cruise was set at 100mph, never got pulled over the whole way. I did slow to 80mph one I hit NYS.

↑ Bro where we in the same car, lol?

Likely not. I was in an RS6, just had bought it and seemed like the best way to test it out on the way back. It drove so well, it felt like 30 in any other car.

I’m in CT. Not trying to break/set land speed records anymore.
Did a solid 73 the whole way with a 10 min stop for fuel.
Leaving at 9pm makes for an easy drive with no traffic/construction.

I’m pumped the ginger is headed back.

Litteraly just got back from disney(to atlanta at least) averaged 75. I had the cruise set at 83 most of the way

Made it to Mt Rushmore in 27 hours, this included a 2 1/2 sleepy time break, and stopping at Wall Drug(what the hell is Wall Drug?), only averaged 56mph.

Averaged 68mph from Mt. Rushmore to Seattle. Basically from Wisconsin to Washington is like the Autobahn, but my girlfriend doesn’t like going fast at all so I only broke 100 while she was sleeping. I wish she would’ve driven so I could have slept haha.

When Renzo and I towed his vette from West Palm Beach to Houston we averaged 56mph. We stopped at some casino in the middle of the night in Alabama though.

I have done some huge stretches but don’t have anything impressive for average speed on a long haul.

I left Salem Oregon at 6am on a Weds and made it back to Buffalo at 11pm on Fri, only me driving 100% of the trip, in a truck speed limited to 70mph, averaging 7mpg

I only got a picture of half way to salt lake city from Houston on this last ski trip. Solo I made it in under 20 hours. Not bad for a crew cab silverado lol. 1600+ miles / <20 hours = 80 With my wife in the truck we returned to Houston from slc in 22 hours with a 3 hour nap lol.

This was 3 gas stOps and one ticket lol.

I averaged something like 90 from Chicago to Buffalo to make my wife’s graduation when my flight was cancled.

Driving out to school once from Albany to Buffalo real late at night with no traffic. 280 miles in 3 hours 15 minutes with one stop. Average speed of 86 mph, love my passport 8500
