Tire/Wheel questions.

maybe i should just find some new wheels… i’ve found some cool old-school wheels, but is the Swift too new for old school wheels? Maybe I should just go for some clean five spokes…

Work Equip 02 - O.G. wheels… maybe too funky for the Swift

whatever you do it will still be a swift

i know… it’s no V6 Camaro… :finger:

:wtcslap: thats why my car is stock…

eh… to each his own.

There are cars with much less potential than the Swift that are made into impressive cars.

I really lucked out with the fit of my wheels on my car. Very close fit and I can only run 205/40/17’s

Dom can vouch for the tight fit, just the luck of the draw I guess

i am just messin with ya…but if it was me i would get something i think looks good and is cheap

:hsugh: I like some of that company’s other wheels, but I’m thinkin’ they’re a bit pricey for the Swift.

PS- You better be AutoXin’ that thing by the end of the summer.

i’m not really into autocross, but i think i might…

I’m starting to think about finding something similar to the Borbets I have on the Prizm… too bad they’re not the proper bolt pattern.

I’m puzzzled. Why the hell did you buy that car then? I’m not trying to bag on it, but let’s face it a Swift is never going to be a drag car. Motor swap it, turbo it and you’re still fighting a losing battle. On the other hand I can see that car being sick for AutoX (particularly smallish tight courses like the ones @ the North Park pool lot). You even said in some other thread you want to build the suspension and make it handle great… so why not actually use that?

Besides, once you try AutoX once you’ll be “into it.”

Oh, and those American Racing wheels you have look a lot like the Borbets to me.

Something fun to drive. I have no interest in drag racing at all…at least not with a FWD four-banger.

I wanted a good suspension for everyday driving. I spend several hours a day in my car so I like having something fun to drive. My old 323 had Eibach Pro-Kit springs and Tokico HP shocks and it was a blast to deliver in…even with a pathetic 88hp.

almost identical…but if the American Racing wheels are too big, I wouldn’t mind selling them to pick up some 15" Borbet Type-Hs (the wheels I have on the Prizm)
