Anyone going?
I’m still waiting for them to post the motorcycle lapping days. I purchased some 20% off gift certificates last month, anyone else catch the deals they were offering?
my a8 only needs tires and it would be ready. hmmmm
Oh nice! I can’t make it though.
And it doesn’t say if there is snow on the track or if it’s dry.
This is what I would expect, but I don’t know where one would find a conditions report.
Don’t know if I can make it, but my options are slow awd with new snows or med rwd with acceptable all seasons. I would think after the first hour there would be enough hard pack / dry spots / a path that I could get away less than optimal (fun) platform.
Yeah I was wondering what the current conditions are. No sense in going if the track is dry.
I think I am going to take my chances with rwd + all seasons.
I am pretty sure there hasn’t been as significant snowfall compared to here and the afternoon high is going to be around 27* which will probably get track temps up to melting and slushy.
Or I could be the jerk that needs a tow every 3 minutes.
It’s that time!!!
This Saturday Feb 1st (2014) at Toronto Motorsports Park.
Gates open at 9:30am and we run until 4pm
Cost $115 cash payment only accepted at the track before drivers meeting.
You MUST have snow tires!!! Only cars with snow tires will be allowed on the track.
Helmets are not required.
A brief drivers meeting will happen before we all hit the track. If it is your first time at the track in snow I suggest taking the winter driving class available that day.
Depending on how many people show we will run multiple groups.
BRING WARM CLOTHING!! The wind out in Cayuga is strong and cold.
If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
This is not a race event!! It is a fun day to go play with our cars and learn car control in the snow. This is a great event to get some cool video and pictures of your car.
I guess that answers that question.
Anyone go? That snow tire requirement sucks but I understand it. Looked like fun:
