Had a great time Friday. LOTS of guys from Toronto in upscale AMG/M cars, lots of tank slappers for them. Bit more traffic than I would have liked but a good experience nonetheless. Met a couple nice guys (E46M and 944T), always nice to meet fellow enthusiasts. I got a kick out of the newer 911 trying to out run me and going off into the grass. Did get humbled by a C7 Z51 and an EG Civic.
I was able to try out my new brake combination (new Centric Rotors, Power Stop “Track Day” pads, Motul 600 fluid) and was very pleased with the performance. No more fade and overheating brakes. Traction is now the bigger issue. I ran a 1:28ish last year on junk street pads and boiling fluid, with the old gears. Still have to analyze my footage to see if my times improved.
Will be going back on a Friday sometime in the next month or so, will post up before I go.

I just ordered engine mounts, a tick speed bleeder, so I can install my Ls7 clutch and change the engine mounts.
Also need to buy good brake fluid and swap my pads.
Any recommendation on brake fluid?
When I was lapping I always used ATE Super Blue and ATE TYP 200. They banned the blue because of some stupid DOT rule about brake fluid only being yellow/clear but you can still get ATE TYP 200 which is the same stuff without the blue dye. I used to alternate them because it made flushing them cake. You knew each line was flushed when the color changed.
RBF600 all day. cheapest on ebay when you buy 2-3 at a time.
Do you think 2 500ml bottles are enough to change the fluid?
If you play to track more than a couple times then I would go with an ebay 3 pack.
