I have been debating whether I should take the STi wing off and get a carbon fiber trunk. What are your opinions on this? Should I leave the wing? Will the cf mismatch on the black car? Thanks guys.
I say leave the wing, I really don’t like the way they look without a spoiler. If you want cf, get a cf model of your spoiler

:word: Car looks unfinished without the spoiler… but that’s my opinion. And to go with a CF trunklid… are you that concerned with the weight of the car? You won’t be saving too much weight going from the stock lid to the CF.
I personally dislike the STi wing…The Mine’s Lip spoiler (or imitation) looks great on the STi and gets rid of the boxy looking wing. However, there is no real weight savings in going to a CF trunk, as it is already made of aluminum and light weight…unless you want the bling factor of saying you have a CF trunk.
the only reason i was looking at cf was becuase im to lazy to look for an obsidian black trunk or buying a trunk and painting it.

I had tossed around the idea of a wrx spoiler or getting a shorter one just cause i dont like the attention that it brings. But a carbon fiber trunk would look odd without doing a hood IMO. CF looks good on black cars though, i really wanted to get a hood for my car but paint the middle blue to match the car cause i dont like bare carbon fiber unless its broken up with some color.
I saw these in Sport Compact Car once, and I thought they looked bad ass. Pick up a pair and a WRX wing and you are all set.
see if you can get the CF parts first even. There is a giant shortage at the current time. Uncle Sam and Boeing are buying it all up. Also look for the parts in stock to raise in price with supply and demand.

Well within the last cuple weeks on trying to order CF parts for certain people they’ve been hard to come by with things that weren’t in stock. With an explaination that the government and boeing are buying it all up.

no wing is so much better. SOOOOO much better. whenever i see a wingless WRX i always think how hot it is.

meh with no wing at all though, the hood scoop looks even more ridiculous…not that i dont like it, but the two seem to compliment each other…the wing makes the hood scoop not look so huge…
i like the wingless cf look, but then i think you’d have to get a stock wrx hood with the less intense scoop in it…that’d be tits…and mad :snky:
