It was a damn good time, even considering the things that happened and the weather.
By the time we got there, the garage seemed already packed so we setup up right outside with a canopy.

Ducati and their silly (yet amazingly cool) single sided swingarm.
Tire warm up in action
Rawr
An 848? In white?! Go figure
Random ways people mounted the GoPro cameras.
The lovely weather which did not help the traction.
Riders meeting
Bare bones unedited video I uploaded real quick of probably my best run of the day.
MOAR
It was fun, thats for sure.
The last run I did was a bit iffy; As long as track is not ponding, tracking the bike in rain is not terrible. Obviously, everyone would prefer a dry track. At least what I got from that track day is I feel much better riding in the rain if I need to.
We did ended up getting two 98% dry sessions, and 2 or 3 damp sessions with a bit of a dry line.
Nice, thanks for the pics and vid. I didn’t know you got a gsxr? Definitely didn’t sound like a twin in the vid haha.
Yeah I’ve had that heap for a while now.
For the record, all 3 bikes you see in the second picture, fit in the panel van behind them :wow
As you can see the video is posted in the wrong format even.
I’ve got to do a little bit of editing, get the high res version on there, get other vids on there and I’ll get the updates for you guys soon!
Come on now, how did you manage to post a picture of the white CBRR that was in the garage next to me but not a single picture of my bike? :lol
Also where is the video of you going down? =P
That Aprilia motard = fap fap fap fap fap
Some pictures of the carnage.
If you look careful you will see that the water is displaying “funny colors” :ahh
SV
Should a shifter look like that?
Or the lever?
You can see exactly how frame slider took most of the brunt in this shot.
So you went down on BOTH bikes?
Yep, the Gsxr was expected due to me riding on the limit and not caring.
The SV was a surprise as the video will show.
For some reason, neither YouTube or Viemo want to upload the vids now. They get to 99% and never finish.
Just be careful man. How were the tires on both bikes? Just low side on both?
Both brand new on the Gsxr, and rear brand new on the SV, which was a big part of the problem.
I got to break in the tires on the Gsxr in the dry on the track, which was hairy enough. On the SV however I’ve had to scrub them in the wet, which was a whole new experience for me with obvious results. The rear was just not sticking as the video will show and was edging out of me on many corners so I took it easy.
It still baffles me at what caused me to low side the SV. I wasn’t even in the turn, I was approaching it at a speed twice as slow as I’ve been doing all day. No puddles, before the pavement junction, nearly straight up, just boom - wall :wow
