Tool organization idea?

Yeah it’s a rail with sliders to which sockets attach to, and you can keep them in a stacked order. They are often sold on them to begin with.

They will still typically move around the toolbox, but they will move as a unit instead of scattering.

I use them in my garage box and it works out rather well.

It’s very hard to keep tools in a specific spot inside the toolbox unless you have foam cutouts or plastic premade trays, but its easy and cheap to keep them grouped inside the box, just as those allen wrenches you posted in the first picture, and the socket rails.

The allen keys have a bag in which they are stored, so that’s no problem.

I’m not worried about them sliding around as a unit, my issue was that all of the sockets would move about in the drawer and I would have to nitpick through all of them to find the correct size. If they’re on that rack then I can just pick it up and look at the # (they are laser etched) on them and go to town.

I’ll have to hit up Sears sometime this week and see what they have. I’ve also seen those plastic precut boxes but I don’t know how good those are, or how much they cost.
