I wondered if the Mexico comments were going to get them in trouble again…
Discussing a Mexican sports car, Hammond said vehicles reflected national characteristics so “Mexican cars are just going to be lazy”.
Reviewing the Mastretta on Sunday’s show, Hammond said: “Mexican cars are just going to be lazy, feckless, flatulent, overweight, leaning against a fence asleep looking at a cactus with a blanket with a hole in the middle on as a coat.”
I think it was cool to see the older exotics being abused compared to always something new… it definitely showed the heritage of supercars which I enjoyed. The rest of it though was sub-par in my opinion. The night race was cool, but we didn’t really get to see the normal sideways driving/screaming antics of Jeremy. And then there was the piece May had, which was forgettable.
I’m surprised they didn’t do the Top Gear Awards for the end of the year.
