(topic split) MPD47 vs SoloIIScoob; re: The Blue's E30

I just read this entire thread, and I don’t know why.

“You blew the motor mishitting multiple times, that is being cluelessly ballsy.”
“mis-shifted the car twice after all that auto-x and street driving?”

lol you guys have no idea how many s2000 owners have done this more than once as well, and not even counting the ENDLESS MORE experienced people who have mis-shifted and popped motors in the entire past history of the automotive world. but im the only one who has an entire forum giving me shit for it.

we give skunk shit for it everyday

That happened years ago. See what you have to look forward to?

You just don’t get it, do you?

unfortunately we self monitor at these events. The guy watching the entire track is just that, a guy. We don’t have any sort of “safety officials” just someone with a flag that has tha authority to pull you if THEY THINK you do something wrong. After that, it is up to the 3-4 people that are running the rest of the show to determine if you need to be booted. On a small track day you would have been booted. On a day as hectic as the Summer start with 50+ people there you slid through the cracks, and mike was willing to let it slide untill you came here and started posting shit about an organization whos sole purpose is to give enthusiasts what they desire!

You dont mis shift if you know what your doing. How many people have we had out at dunnville in S2K’s that have never had any issues pulling blistering times and never popping a motor ? Try again.

yup. this is being an asshat:

im pretty sure this run got me second in class that day, over someone i wont name who put their car into the curb and ruined their suspension AND had insurance cover it, but you guys were all hush hush about that.
but im a terrible guy and driver as well so i dont matter

i dont know if that is the one it was a while back but i thought it was going in the other direction

I don’t know too many people on here, so this thread doesnt hit home for me. Hopefully you guys can reconcile your differences.

The most worth while post so far IMO.

lol yea cause im here blasting onyxsyndicate.

Eh race car drivers still mis-shift, It can happen to anyone no matter the skill. Not to excuse solo of all the other bullshit but it’s pointless to keep harping on this point.

For those that may still view SoloIIscoob as a victim, I though I’d put this out there so that there isn’t any confusion about our position. I did not go into details when this happened last year because SoloIIscoob was moving out of state and I figured there was no reason to make it public since he wouldn’t be around anymore. But since he’s still here and some members may buy into his victim mentality, I’ll make this public for everyone:

  1. He started off the day fighting to get his corolla into first position behind the camera on the filmed cruise. Once there, he constantly swerved left and right for MILES. Maybe he thought it would look cool on camera, but it just pissed everyone off… especially MPD47 who was the lead truck, pulling a trailer.

  2. When he got to the track, he discovered he was in the beginner group and that hurt his ego. So he tried to ask around if he could be moved into group A, but everyone said talk to me.

  3. He tried to prove he was more experienced than us by criticizing our flagging and telling Rick (RX3) he wasn’t being safe standing where he was. Obviously, that only pissed Rick, MPD47 and GSX off who were doing a great job.

  4. His first few laps out, I got a radio call from the track coordinator asking me to have a talk with the “kid in the yellow S2000” because he was following too close, went off course but didn’t come straight in, and almost had an impact with the green neon. When he came in from those laps, I told him he needed to watch his distance but his response was something along the lines of “I’m confident in my driving.” This was actually the 2nd time since the day started that Dunnville staff noted his reckless driving.

  5. Then he came over to me asking for a refund for his money he paid for the full season ($400) because he decided he was going to move out of state. I’ve said clearly countless times that I do NOT give refunds. Once you give me the money, I give it to the track so I don’t have any money to give you.

  6. He also complained that he only had 5 laps before lunch. I explained to him that before lunch you’re not going to get many laps. It’s the full session AFTER lunch where you really get in your track time. Somehow everyone else understood that except him and clocked several hours of lapping time after lunch.

  7. When he asked me why he was in the beginner group, I told him it was because no one had ever seen him drive, so no one could affirm if he was to the same level as those who were already in the advanced group. “But I signed up for Advanced, and I’m pretty confident in my driving and I know what I’m doing.” First off, no one signed up for any group. Our staff placed you where we thought you fit best, and obviously made the right choice because you went off course and didn’t come right in, AND you were driving way too close to another car when we’ve said countless times that this isn’t a race. “What does it matter?” It matters that MY name is on the lease for today, so it’s MY obligation to have a safe event and MY liability if something bad happens.

I usually wouldn’t post PM conversations, but they were from last year and the whole NYSpeed staff has already read them:

Now after all of those idle threats, he recently sent me this PM that I’ve noticed now since I’ve taken him off of ‘ignore’ to reply to this thread:

Chirs, you’re either bi-polar or just arrogant. Even if I let you back out there, there are frequent participants who would refuse to sign up because they wouldn’t want to drive with you.

So take it as a life lesson like Adictd2Boost said and don’t burn bridges. Good luck with whatever you’re up to now in whatever state you’re in. And with that said, I’ll be putting you back on ‘ignore user.’

Think he’ll shut the fuck up now?

I hope so. Howie gave him his “Last Chance” warning this morning.

Nope.

Still Nope.
