Toshiba laptop prob

I’ve got a toshiba laptop that the screen no longer works on. I’ve been using a monitor attached for a while now and would like to eventually get this fixed. Can anyone advise me on this? good place to take it etc… anyone want a side job and make a few buxs fixing this? If i turn the lap top off, when i turn it on it sometimes the screen will work for a short time. any ideas?

screens are usually very expensive for laptops.

Only a few real solutions for this seeing as it’s intermittant.

-Pull the plastic casing off there should be either one or two harnesses with a ground wire attached to the “frame” somewhere. Reseat them, and make sure the ground is attached.
-Inspect wires for damage, most of the time the harness is exposed, and if it isn’t routed correctly could result in damage to the wires. If one is visibly damaged you can attempt to repair it if you have the resources to do so.
-Get a replacement LCD off eBay, but chances are you are better off just replacing the laptop.

you could try the hi fi hospital on transit they might be able to help you out

did you try holding the “Fn” button and then press F5 and selecting a different screen option?
