Track Attack #4 - Saturday August 25, 2007

Yea it was a much faster in the afternoon. It was such a good time tearing it up out there. I was really impressed with how fast some people were improving, mainly travis and fadi. Nothing is more fun than having a few guys competing aigainst eachother to better themselves around the track. And Dan… dear lord that car is a beast, and with you behind the wheel it served up some deadly lap times. I cant wait to get some better tires and hopefully give you someone to compete against out there!!!

Tires are a big part of autocross… That’s for sure. I was actually a bit disappointed with the Eagle F1 GS D3s. Lateral g’s were peaking at about 1.0 compared to 1.2 with my Fusion ZRis…
At least there was a straight section where I could put some power on the road! :E Through the turns I think there were some faster times than mine. :?

What a hoot! Seeing guys get smoother and faster as the day went on had to be as much fun as driving myself. Great group of guys!

Gotta keep Sept 8th open!!

The last track day is on the 8th which is a Saturday. Too bad. I would be funny to see a girl beat some 240’s

If you guys start marking the cones, then I’ll come out. It’s no fun when the track changes after every few runs. You can’t compare your times and think you’re improving when you’re really not that much.

Hell, I’ll even help you mark the cones at the next event.

[EDIT] I dropped a helmet off for Ryan prior to the event starting. It was placed on the timing table. Does anyone know what happened to it? He didn’t end up getting it passed on to him.

[EDIT] I dropped a helmet off for Ryan prior to the event starting. It was placed on the timing table. Does anyone know what happened to it? He didn’t end up getting it passed on to him.

Track pylons will be marked and have been for most of the events. For some reason we forgot to get chalk last time. Rest assured, the track will be marked for consistency proposes. I do believe ryans helmet is in good hands.
