Just make sure all your gear and you bike complies with the event rule. Sometimes DOT helmet is not enough, nor running anything other than water as coolant.

Rain gear.
Spare clothing.
Towel.

In all automotive events, DOT doesn’t matter. SNELL does. I’m assuming at most events you need a SNELL M2000 or higher.
