Track Day

Ok, i have a few questions about the track day… Basically what is needed and what are the regulations? You need Snell 2000 or 2005 Helmet right? Anything else that i would need?

gas and a car with 4 wheels.

Now i just feel stupid… i was reading the Western Canada Motorsports Association regulations and basically scared myself…

As long as your car is in good shape, with decent tires and suspension, a metal battery tie down, and not leaking excessive fluids, you should be OK.

During tech inspection the inspector will try to shake your tires back and forth to make sure critical suspension components aren’t worn out - so you might want to try this yourself at home to make sure before you pop out to the track to be turned away.

And nothing loose bangin around in the back of your car, and nothing loose under the hood. But as far as “race” stuff is concerned: a helmet and metal battery tie down if there isn’t one there already.

Sorry for being dumb but what where when is said track day

The club directors are still trying to make arrangements.

It looks as those there will be at least 3 track events this year, with the first ones possibly being in May. The track events have been similar to autocrosses in the past, but on a larger scale and a more open track so higher speeds could be attained.

The track events are held at CFB Namao, North of Edmonton. More details will be made available as we get them!
