I’m trying to figure out how much our GTP is worth on a trade in.
2000 Grand Prix GTP Sedan; 78,000 miles; leather; CD;
Kelley Blue Book & Edmunds says $5500-$6000, but the NADA book has $8375 for trade. Why is NADA so much higher? I’ve always kind of gone with KBB.

              sell it for $7500, its in the middle

              i think its cause nada is for private selling…where u have the opiton to chose trade in or private seller on KBB…and trade in is cheaper

              i think that car sales men try to fuck you regardless… so don’t take any shit Jeff!!!

              KB is balogna. Just open up an auto trader and see what they go for. KB got my hurst/olds at like 1,500.

Niche market cars > KBB. I could easily sell my Conquest for more than KBB would say its worth.

              Well they’re offering 8500 trade/allowance, which would make it $5100 for my car and invoice for the Jeep, or however you want to look at it (5500 trade & 400 over invoice, etc).
I should just sell it on my own but it’s a pain.

              get trade in value first
negotiate price on desired vehicle second (if they low ball you, you low ball them back).
Every dealer will pretty much sell any car for $200-$500 over invoice right now.
Negotiate higher trade value
drive away
