Why is there one in the GT500?

How about: Ford didn’t use a 6-speed because they needed a way to keep the cost down.

I would prefer that it had the 6-speed, especially with the 3.73 gears. It’s somewhere around 2000 rpm at 60 mph in 5th gear, so that overdrive gear would be nice. But if the car had cost more, would I have bought it? :dunno:
