My tranny seems to be leaking out the tail is this common how easy is it to fix?I swapped out my s13 tranny for an S14 and its leaking to so I figure I ll fix both of them at once if its not a huge job.I am kinda hoping its just the rear seal and an easy fix.Oh and both tranny are Sr trannys.
Is it leaking where the driveshaft goes into the tranny? If so its your seal, this is an easy fix. Remove the driveshaft, take out the old seal, put the new one in. Just be careful when your removing and installing the seal not to scratch or dig into the tranny as that may cause the new one not to seal good.
Mines doing the same thing so I changed the seal and now it turns out its comming form the top of the shifter. You might wana check that out as well, espesaly if you have a short shifter.
I was also thinking about the top of the shifter it very well could be that its one or the other I might just change both.Are the seals the same as the KA tranny??
