hey gents,
quick question, anyone ever had a car trailered to Vegas for SEMA before?
I’m actually thinking of sending my own car there to drive around for a week, maybe more, instead of renting something… it’ll cost more but might be worth it.
It costs $1,500 cdn each way (by train) in Canada to go from Toronto to Calgary so i thought maybe it would only be $500 - $800 USD each way… am i in the ballpark?
yuck… everything is $1k - $1,500 each way… not really worth it just for a week or so.
i guess you dont really drive much when you’re there anyways.
do they have UBER in Vegas?

Uber and Lyft both operate in Vegas. Traffic can be insane and your ride will show up when it shows up. I’d rather just rent my own car for $50/day.

yeah i was toying with the idea of taking an extended vacation with the wife for our anniversary and driving to LA.
you cant rent anything worth driving for $50 a day other than a mustang convertible which i guess is pretty fine these days anywys

You guys care too much about cars. For $50/day give me a Malibu.
id rather use uber and such while there as you do drive much at all and then rent something cool while there (lambo, ferrari, etc)

what did you pay for it?
everything i see is $1k per day… which i guess is fair
$600-700 per car for 6 hours and 120 miles. That is enough to go to the Hoover dam and back and romp on the strip a bit. I done it several times.

Seriously, you’re not going on vacation to be with your car. Who gives a shit what you drive for a week or two.

when you’re taking your wife on vacation - you don’t go to car shows.
when you’re in vegas - you don’t bring your wife.
this whole thing doesn’t add up for me haha

Unless you’re planning on going to Redrock or staying off the strip in a mansion or something Uber/Lyft are really cheap and everywhere.
I’ll look into what it takes. I think they kind of care lol I’m not sure if I get a ticket, maybe I can bring a guest? I’ll ask
