low air pressure? 44 must be low to you. cuz thats what i ran for 4 runs. on the last 2 i aired em to to 35 and that when my et went down and trap went down.
on another note, i’d like to gor for a ride in a 28rs car.
i have, and a 28RS car is a night and day difference in the lower rpm. it feels like a k03 car with power past 5,000rpm to boot. where we are grabbin snickers bars from idle until around 4000rpm the 28RS is making tons of boost and making tracks.
So wait…you bought/installed a different clutch disk + PP(used or not, doesn’t matter) but didn’t surface the FW??? Did I read that right? If so that’s why it’s slipping, period. FW is bedded and marred to the old disk surface pattern. The disk doesn’t conform to the surface changes in the FW. You lose friction surface area without a surfacing. You could have stuck a new disk and pressure plate in there and it would have a 50% chance of slipping like this used one does.
Live and learn as they say. Plan to rip the bitch out again Trav :sad Find a good used FW and surface it. It’s a must do.
BTW, where did you bring the FW to have it checked??? We have a Blanchard machine here but I don’t recall an sti FW kicking around lately aside from Justins. Aaron might have checked it though if you did bring it to us.
he did resurface the flywheel? Also, he just stated that Travis’s new clutch slipping is just to fuck with people…his clutch doesnt slip. I have known this also.
