Trapping 104 last week, i don’t think there’s much left there to achieve a 108mph+ trap.
A new motor? Tune? Something is VERY wrong.

You got part of it right regarding the stock comment.
But, the clutch is suspect given it seems to hold when it wants to. A slipping clutch SLIPS. Period. It doesn’t hold from a roll and then decide to slip in random gears.
The tune? That must be the worst tune on the planet to rob that much power. I am thinking it’s something bad in regards to comparession or a combo of things from tune/major leaks/etc…
I would be scared to hell if it was me.
It didn’t sound like it was in poor running order, then again I didn’t really hear much of anything.
you can smell the clutch, but i understand the “slipping clutch” in high gear :confused… ive driven roasted clutches and it just slips under load, maybe he can part throttle it but when boost comes on, cook it, thats plausible, but like the 35R evo, its running the trap of a flashed evo ix… something is not right.

travis’ car launched out then when he smacked it, it fell on its face, which im sure is the clutch, because his 60ft times were not where an AWD car should be… but either way, a clutch in that car and im sure it would go 12s. a 2.0 60ft is killing him. a 1.7 or so where im sure it would be with a good launch and i see 12.8-12.90s in it.

Tom’s stock STI with exhaust and just a cheap reflash tune went mid 12’s at 110mph+…and Travis’ built STI went almost a second slower? :confused
But, the traps are retardedly low. Even if he pulled a 1.7, his traps indicate stock STI power.
shawn… as u well know… launch then BOG in an AWD car hurts traps tremendously. thats all the car was doing ALL night. there IS some stuff wrong… Front O2 sensor is fukt, slipping clutch, stock catback, suspension is fagged out, and it needs an alignment. its not pulling anywhere NEAR as hard as it did when i first got it but its spooling even faster. if ANYONE has a laptop and tactrix cable that can log for me a few pulls, id GREATLY appreciate it.
Bog in any car can hurt traps but not enough to justify the 103MPH traps that you pulled which is equiv to a stock STI. I have bogged my stock 3/S MANY times and the traps were very close to the non-bogged runs. Hell, my best traps were on bogged runs as typically trap goes down with 60’ but again it depends on the run. In your case, your traps vs where you should be is huge. Also, given the amount of abuse that clutch as seen. If it is slipping, at this point, it’s going to ALWAYS slip.
There’s something else going on and I’d be surprised if it was tune related because you are missing A LOT of power.
Not sure what the issue is but I think you might have more problems than you think.

not sure but I know when my tranny slipped in my turbo V6, the boost feel right down because the motor lost its “load” to spool the turbo
now, doesnt the same exact principle apply to a slipping clutch? Wouldnt the boost fall and have all type of spooling problems?? I know when my turbo 6 slipped, boost took a hell of alot longer apposed to a gear that held up better…
correct… slipping clutch would cause spool issues as well, since you cant get a good load to build exhaust gas pressure to spool the turbo… somethings arent adding up here :confused

for what its worth it dosent matter it is what it is …there could be a million exscuses for it hell we have heard them all but untill the car gets taken care of or sold if its still up for sale its gonna continue to get worse .as for his clutch its shot when ya load the clutch up in high gear under boost she slides fuck i did it a number of times ;D… the o2 sensor is fucked as far as the heater circuit is concerned and it had cam pos sensor codes but that was a while ago the last time i scanned it for him …all that adds up to a c.e.l wich pulls him out of his tune remember he just had a huge boost leak fixed a week ago so who knows how on his tune is or the car for that matter …that bein said im gonna get flamed for it but ya know what who cares it is what it is and the car is what it is if trav is content on runnin it the way it is let him it,s his ride not ours…once he gets money im sure he will fix it in the wrong order im sure but let it go .now im gonna go rub one off :runaway
