Troopers release results from DWI campaign

http://www.wivb.com/dpp/news/crime/troopers-release-results-from-campaign

ran from December 14th until January 1st.

During the campaign, New York State Troopers say they issued 3,300 tickets and arrested 59 people for DWI. Troopers investigated 42 crashes that involved injuries, and one fatal crash.

Still wondering why we dont have harsher penalties for these situations.

Edit: Think of how many they missed.

Because it doesn’t involve firearms?

About sums it up, along with “politicians drink as well.”

My beer thing went off.

Where they more than usual DWI check points? or was this just a push to give out more tickets/pull over suspecting drivers over this time period? Just curious to how the “campaign” was executed?
