if you go half ton, no truck is better than a the late model chevy’s. They also happen to have the best v8 by a landslide.
My buddy thought a tundra was great when he test drove it. Then he rode in one with a load on it and found out what they are really about. a 6speed auto and 4.10 gears can only hid so much.
For your price range stay away from Tundras. The old Tundras are crappy compared to the new ones. I’d go with a Silverado if I were you for the price range.
My father pickedup a 2007 F150 4.6L 4x4 Auto Loaded, with 10k for 13000.00 (they gave him 7k on trade) in june
He uses it allot to tow his 14ft. double axle Livestock trailer all the time. Doesnt even faze the truck.
I got my 2005 F150 for 10.5k two weeks later(4.6L auto 2wd STX with cap, no trade in) towed my jeep Grand cherokee project home (jeep + trailer = Approx 4K #) and it towed it like a champ.
I used too be a huge GM guy, but after the problems both my father and my brother had with their Previous GM’s, and how great these fords are treating us, i doubt ill ever go back
my f150 (2007, leased from new) has been solid. friend of mine’s dad got one for towing a race trailer and probably paid in that range for a few-year-old 50k mile one.
Sounds like most people are recommending a Silverado, so thats what I’m leaning towards for her
If she is dating mordak she probably has multiple disabilities.
