I’ve never had a 5g tank, that’s SUPPERRRR small, but I’m sure 6 will be fine.
I had a 10g in my room for the longest time, and all I had in there was a plecko and a betta. LOL.
My 55g was the jam though. I had 2 fresh water sharks, 1 stupid fucking angel fish that wouldn’t die, a huge plecko, some other randoms. (It started leaking, so we took it down about 5 years ago.) It had real and fake plants. And 2 filters. Those fish lived for sooooo long. Man I love fish tanks. So calming.
In the beginning we (my parents and I) had neon tetras and tiger barbs, but those got boring. Well, actually, I still like tiger barbs. They’re a bit aggressive, and cute at the same time.
I also had a brackish tank, with a puffer fish. Actually, that was the coolest fish I never owned. His name was Ralph.
I have no actual info on setting up a tank though. I never really read shit. I just used a starter kit for the tank in my bedroom, and shit never died.
Cleaning the tank always sucked though. I once swallowed a shit ton of shitty water. Fuck that.

Here’s my 90g saltwater. It started life as a big-fish tank with a lion fish, trigger, puffer and an angel fish. Now its a weak community lol. 2 clowns, snails, crabs, shrimp and a brittle star.
I was mid-water change, that’s why the tank isn’t full.

new tank started, picked it up for free, 15 gallon, it was all moldy and shit and wood colored, same with the stand
sanded and painted everything
3 glofish (been around since jan)

4 neon tetras (just bought)

its super nice! dont mind the pics of the fish my camera isnt very good
i keep it next to my bed. it has an air pump for aesthetic bubbles under the gravel and i listen to them while falling asleep
also to come: one more tetra and 2 cory cats to clean, thatll be all =), if the fish make it to this time next year ill upgrade again!

I could barely catch the tetras! they were so scared of the camera!, the red blurr at the bottom was one of the glofish, those and the zebras would not stop moving, they’re like little bullets
