Trying to get ka24de on engine stand

I have an engine stand from PA, and I’m pretty sure it was intended for an american v8 or something. I can’t figure out how to get the ka mounted on there. Would I be able to use the bolt holes where the tranny mounts to the block? Or do I need a completely different stand?

put the mounting ‘fingers’ assembly on first. bolt them down tight to the engine. you may have to remove the flywheel before you can mount the fingers. lift the engine and silde it on to the stand. the engine in the pic is from my corolla but i did have a ka on it prior to that. the method is the same for most engines regardless. hope this helps.

ps- you will probably need longer bolts your stock ones will be to short.

thanks for the info, helped a lot!

edit: do you know off hand what bolts i need? the motor i have didn’t come with the tranny mounted and i dont have the bolts for it. what grade, thread pitch and size etc. if not i’ll do some experimenting.

just pull one off the the tranny that you have in your car. take it to crappy tire and match it up. just make sure it is about 1/2 inch longer than stock.
i think mine are m12 x 1.25pitch x 60mm. but don’t quote me on that.

incase anyone else is wondering, the bolts I used to mount the engine on the stand are M10x1.5x70mm.
