Ye its unfortuante, hopefully he learned something from this…but most likely not. He didnt even stop when the old guy was coming at him…not smart, couldve been worse

Dont you think he got what he deserved? he was bragging about what he did on the forum and so a member reported him…He couldve kept quiet and still be driving his car.

IMO conversations and admissions made here are not public information.

Yes the kid committed a crime, however, if someone on here solicited a fake e-test or a phony bill of sale and someone on here NARC’d him out and got him fined then the dude doing the ratting out should be banned.

Violent crimes are a different story. With an issue like this though, it certainly should not be condoned or encouraged, but getting the kid arrested is a slippery slope that i would make efforts to avoid.

And as someone mentioned on here, the kills section on nyspeed is many many times worse than what this kid admitted to.

Its the same as people who brag about their crimes on facebook.

I am sure there was more than enough evidence about the kid with his car pics and him and enough pissed off witnesses in the neighborhoods he was flying through to make it known. I highly doubt someone went to the police with a single print out of a post and that was all they used to arrest him.

I am glad he got caught and they prevented him from being an ass and killing someone innocent.

^ I agree anything posted on the forums should not be considered public information. i personally would not snitch for this non-violent bs cause its none of my business …but its the internet, you need to show some discretion b4 posting info like that because you never know other ppl’s mindset.

Also, fake e-test/phony bill of sale are crimes but in a diff category when compared to what this kid couldve caused…like derass said, what if a kid ran out on the road?

Unfortunately though anything posted on this site IS considered public information, same with Facebook, etc. If you don’t want it out there, don’t post it.

no it isn’t

I can’t read this whole article again but i think it’s the one i read a while back. An insurer, for example, cannot simply hack into a facebook account and investigate, nor can a police officer.

They need a warrant or an invite similar to if they want to investigate your home. If you befriend an insurer’s account on facebook THEN they can use your facebook page for investigative purposes.

So in that sense we probably are not set up with the proper disclaimers or privacy settings to be afforded the same luxury. I suppose that if it can be viewed on here it’s because we allow it to be viewed. But certainly PM’s would require a subpeona.

Yesssss it is.

Unless we close registration, these forums are public. No subpoena needed. Hell, we don’t ever require users to register to view right now.

PMs are not public.

facebook is not public, it’s only admissable if you give access or permission. PM’s, same deal… forum threads… we’re all fucked. :frowning:

Facebook wasn’t a good example because some people don’t have their accounts locked down and keep them totally open… which could be a bad idea if someone is searching for them in advance of a job interview.

But what I said about this forum being considered pubic is still true.

yes… for the third post in a row i agree… frig.

i cant find that chick’s page anymore… forgot her name.

Anyone who capitalizes GYM is a fggt and deserves to be arrested.
