bisimoto is building up his new crz (sleeved block too).

that didnt take long.

did bisi give up on the nasty NA builds or still doing them? i havent paid much attention to what hes been doing lately.

CRZ is an awesome little car.

iirc he is still rocking the NA F-series on his insight.

Are they gonna keep the electric aspect of the car along with the modded engine?

looks like it considering they took off the IMA motor to put on the new block.

they just put pics up of the ported head with performance valvetrain.

gotcha, hopefully they improve its dreadful 9 sec 0-60 time drastically

So how does the built up engine impact fuel economy and will the hybrid drive components have to be beefed up to handle the extra power?

the IMA is an extra power added. i dont think you really have to “beef” up anything. It’s sort of like using electric nitrous if you will. look at what Porsche is doing now with the 918(?).

the cayenne hybrid is a better example in this case… the 918 is more like the GT3 R hybrid, which is nothing like the CR-Z since it uses a gas motor for the rear wheels, and 2 electric motors for the front of the car, for a type of AWD when needed.

just sayin…

truly epic! cant wait to see the finished product and its numbers

it’s complete making 500+ whp

is this car local??

nah, socal.

i just want Smokey Nagata to cram a 2jz in there

Sick!
It seems Bisimoto loves using Turbonetics stuff, why is that?

its probably location. both are california based companies.

alot of big time guys use turbonetics. they make great turbos.

not to be confused with Innovative Turbo Systems, who were known for sucking.

current numbers are 533whp. i love this guy.

I. JUST. CAME.
