Turbo Help

Dont you hate it when you are trying to plan something and then you realize that you shit all about it? Suffice to say, I’ve had this happen to me; Turbos are a bit of a fuzzy area to me, as in what is the best turbo for an 2.4L application looking to gain boost in the area of 2500 - 5000 RPMS.

I was looking into the T25 or T28 but dont know how quick they spool and what would be the optimal choice for this…

I’m trying to keep to turbos with internal wastegates, to save on exhaust piping…

Thanks, Chris

ams gt32 . . .full spool at 3k rpm @ 8psi . . .

if your looking for A Garrett T25 I have one sitting around. I also have a Mitsu TD04 Turbo sitting around.

ka-t.org is your friend.

I have heard great things about both of the turbos rager_man has suggested
garrett turbo i believe is better though…
edit: here is a good website with usefull info on turbos

A T25 on a KA… Those turboes are to small for 2.0L engine let alone a 2.4.

Umm both the ones Ryan suggested ARE Garrett turbos. :?

so whats a decent size? a T28? or the AMS ones? (35 and 40 IIRC)

The AMS GT32 is very good for the price and it can put down 400 HP. 2871R are good for power and response but cost 2.5 times more than the GT32.

What kind of power do you want???

220 - 240 range!!!

And decent spool, dont need it all in the high end (auto trannies get very tempermental then…)

A T3 from a Z31 300ZX will do fine then, and they are cheap.

would this be a effective solution? (used turbos scare me…)
