KA24ET - T3 or T25 ?

hey guys, i’ve been talking to people, read stuff on ka-t.org, thought about it quite a few times and i still cant decide on which turbocharger to go with.

heres some ideas:

T3
-wont max out on a ka
-future possibilities

T25
-will spool a little earlier then a T3
-will not produce enough pressure in redline to keep bosting
-will probably max out at ~ 15 psi
-easier to fit

any other ideas for these two categories ? let me know

I would advise the T3 based on what i’ve learned and seen, if not a T3/T4 hybrid.

T25’ll definitely do the job, but you will probably end up wanting something bigger down the road.

Im using T3 on my KA24ET. DOO ITT

Yes it will,

There are guys maxing out T88’s and GT40R’s…

I say bud go with a small A/R and Trimmed T3.

Though it all depends on your game plan.

Max 250whp on stock internals, T25 is your best bet then,

so are you saying if im not looking to push more than 250whp then a t25 will do the job ? The only reason im scared of a T25 is that some people say that at redline it will loose boost cause engine eats more air than the compressor can produce. Let me know what you think, my perfect setup is the earlier it spools the better.

^^^ Then go with a small T3 like one off of a Z31

T3s are nice they even come stock on MR2s (2.0L I4) and do not have spool problems it all depends on trim/wheel size/design and a/r so you know

thanks, im thinkin of a .60 ar ratio for a ka-e with stock internals, well gonna change rod bearings and rings just to be safe, with the usual insides of a t3, nothing fancy
