Yea if i had the money i’d go RB and i’d change the car to AWD… I have to admit that AWD is my first love, then RWD.
the 545 is decievingly fast… I step one the gas, nothing happen for a second and then i was thrown into the back of my seat… Got to love that.
I think another reason for loving torque is just driving too many hondas… ugh.

I dont like motors that run out around 7500, and have valve float… Doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have more pontential then the next guys…
Heh, that’s just auto lag, the throwing back would happen a lot sooner if you forced it to downshift. I think they come in tiptronic(which is still slow as shit, but a teeny tiny bit better than plain auto, imo), so you can use downshift before you boot it and get a better effect. As to AWD… I dunno… AWD is okay, better than FF, but I’d go with FR/MR any day.
P.Ruddy - nobody was saying parts for the KA don’t exist, they’re just not as numerous, not as readily available and not as cheap. Those sites you posted, aren’t much proof of the opposite.
KAT all the way…no way would i go with a smaller displacement motor…the torque is what hauls yuor arse out of the corners…
i have driven them both and been on the track with both…KAT hands down…
if you want this summer lapping i will bring my KAT out and you can bring a few SR’s out and we can see how they compare
i know my KAT…driven it for years now against some very fast cars…unless you are packing a supercar…you might as well go home

next year i will be ditching the KAT most likely for a new small block 427 race motor …yes small block… i think in the long run thats a better way to go

Since when were ka-t parts more expensive and harder to source then sr parts…
Anyways, both engines are good, I’ve been in some fast ka-ts and some fast SRs, any engine can produce high hp with enough money.
They might bicker… if anyone knew anything about 427 race motors…
No one wants to jump in on something they know nothing about…
What’s there to bicker about? Big snarly v8’s are where it’s at High Hp and much lower stress on the engine compared to a high boost turbo aplication. ADAM, I say you should do a new gen Z06 headlight conversion on the 240

Plus why would anyone bicker over an engine that would clearly smoke all of theirs?
