turbocharging my...

yes, but you wont have enough pressure to keep your journal bearings filled with oil.

swap in the hayabusa engine…

IT CAN BE DONE

edit: or you can just throw a 200 shot on it, and see how many inches you can move before blowing yourself up…

i see, so devising separate oil pump system would be the only choice then. doesnt seem worth it for a damn moped. N0S time

:lolsign:

I say just put a 5 shot. turboing that little engine will probably be a headache…

have fun and post them results with vids!!! :tspry:

The service manuals two of the bikes refered to it as crankcase oil. the 3rd I never had a manual for. It also had a seprate place for 2-cycle oil, for the oil injection system.

Could be for the gearbox though, seeing as the crankcase/gearbox were combined in one unit. I havn’t touched on in like 5 years so it’s been awhile.

Just spray the hell out of it with a 5 shot or less.

hahah thanks for the comments… yeh… im going to need to find a bottle and hoses and what not… were the hell do i start…ya im thinking a lil 5 shot…should be fun and a waste of a few 100 bucks… and ]does this sound right… a turbo ussualy only increses the engine output by like 50% right?? so if i turboed it… i would only mkae liek 3-4 hp??lol

agreed

I did read what you wrote carefully. However you did a complete 90° turn in the subject. I was talking about a 2 stroke engine, you bring up a transmission, they are 2 completely different and sealed units. A 2 stroke ENGINE does not have an oil pan, and holds no oil in a crankcase. A crankcase is part of an engine that houses a crankshaft, not part of a transmission that houses gears, wet clutches and splined shafts

fine nit pick everything i said. i made no reference to the top end or crankshaft being fed by a closed oil system.

Sorry just the facts Jack, if you think that is nit picking so be it

Hi. I never give just the facts… I usually accompany them with a low blow, or a nice photoshop. Neither of which I brought with me today so I will just give my 2 sense…

A leaf blower run directly into the carb would net gains… would it not? The other option is to run a “supercharger” on it. Insead of being belt driven, like on a car, you could make it chain driven and run it off of the drive chain… or in the case of a DS, you could run it off of the tire like a generator. For a more compact option, go to the dollar store and buy a hair dryer with the “cool air” option. Run this off of a small generator run off of the tire. Or put a car battery on the back of the seat… or on a rack above the rear tire, use a power inverter to run the leaf blower/hair dryer.

It would most likely effect the fuel distribution and not work great. That is why I recommended nitrous because FI on a 2 stroke is very problematic, unless you did a direct injection 2 stroke like the Seadoo PWC

I think if you change the font size inbetween the < and the 3 it may connect them :gotme: I’m too lazy to try.

Jay - I see what you mean… but obviously this would be for a project… too look “cooler” than it functions. Fuel will always be an issue when working with FI… but I think you will run into the same problem with n2o without the addition of fuel/oil. You really really don’t want to run lean… so if you want to mess with additional fuel, you might as well do it with a leaf blower ???

well he could do jack’s idea with the hair dryer!!! but it would take some time to fine tune the carb to get it running well. god i used to have a really shitty moped and i could never get the carb tuned right, i think there was just something a bit off about that motor always. good luck man, i would def try this tho.

i shit you not…i knew a kid that took a little compressor peice out of a window-air conditioner he picked outta the garbage and chain drove it on a chainsaw engine and mounted it onto a 20" trick bike. it was fucking insane i swear…then it blew up…but it was amazing fast for a day. he never messed with the fuel mixture though so i bet if he richened it up on the carb it wouldda lasted longer. he said he had to mount weight-bench weights on the front forks so the thing wouldnt flip backwards when he hit the throttle

electric motors = torque.

im pretty sure i will be set on the jetting, i have like a 1838342894898 main and needle jets of all diff. sizes…wow i must say this si the most popular thread i have ever started

hmmm… if you do spray… just build a firewall around the motor cause if the head or chunk of casting or whatever comes flying at you when it goes that shit aint gonna be pretty lol
