Nice, progress!
ohh…
also can’t forget JnJ who TIG’d in my harness brackets… but then he scammed me on the bill like he did to 100’s of other unhappy customers
 solid scamming by JnJ
That looks comfortable…
he fits snug back there like a lil bebe
turn it into a coupe!!
looks good. Props to you for recovering from that fire situation like a champ.
thanks man…
i believe the proper term is… “El Camaro”
el camaro would be fucking awesome
then you wouldn’t even need the fancy suspension and wide tires, just some shitty tires to shred while you’re doing hairy burnouts.
dude, you ain’t kidding. it’s amazing how much the hatch loads the rear. granted, i don’t have the spring height/load set, both firehawk853 and myself did a little burnout trying to get over the tiny hump on the lift, lol
Does anyone remember the guy in hamburg with the el camaro? It was red I think.
Oh and yah, cars are more badass in Texas!! When I brought the vette here the ls1 turned into a c5-r block.
Build looks awesome man, so what all is involved to be able to run those 335’s ? I’m currently in the market for an SS… i’m hoping to have one by the end of April
cool!
335’s can be had with a BFH. they are slightly larger than my 315’s, which fit with some moderate hammering, but nothing substantial. really not a big deal.
i happened to have mini-tubbed the car for the hell of it, so i have a lot of clearance
Going to pull the wheels are we?
we’ll see… don’t know if the 17’s will let me do that, but im sure some 29" tires will do that for me … i just dont feel like dropping the cash now though
 It’s looking good.
Very nice, thanks for the info. I don’t mind rolling the fenders and doing some “massaging” if need be I’ve always love the SS and after looking around I was surprised to find them so affordable. I was looking at GTO’s but the weight and higher price have deterred me.
i think im going to have a guy come install my carpet when it’s time, who works at a custom upholstry company. he’s done custom work for us in the past and is real good…which has me thinking…
i might see what he can do with my stock seats, as far as harness slots and custom covers goes. if it is doable and the price is right, i may ditch my corbeaus. JT76 has dibs if he has the cash…
What’s your estimated time for completion?
well im kinda taking a couple days off here because im getting sick of it… but it really depends on when the body shop can take the car in. they’ve been backed up because of my dad’s car, and now they really need to get some work out the door. i was hoping it would be done by the end of the month, but now it looks like it may be slightly longer. I don’t anticipate it taking longer than until mid April
im having trouble finding it because the search function on LS1Tech sucks lately, but if someone comes across the picture of OEM style camaro seats with incorporated harness slots that would be awesome!
I hear that man, i’ve been waiting for my account to be completely approved over there for about a week now… I can log in and view post but I can’t search or post I send the admins an email but no response yet… Sorry to thread jack here.
