turning off windows "drive space low" dialog?

I have a partition setup ONLY for software backup (nero, drivers, office, ect, ect)… pretty much stuff that I’ll only need on a clean install (I also have them backed up on CD’s somewhere).

at any rate, because the partition is only a gig in size, I keep getting the annoying “drive space on drive e: low” message in my taskbar and it wants me to do a disk cleanup (shit, I have like 30-40 gigs free on c: I believe so it really makes no difference to the OS)… is there anyway to disable this?

i sure there is a key in the registry for “notification”

no time to look now… sry

goto my computer, right click on that drive, goto properties, click disk qouta tab and disable

I dont have that tab

using xp pro sp2 (media center edition)

start regedit, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER and in Software – Microsoft – Windows – CurrentVersion – Policies - Explorer, and set the value of NoLowDiskSpaceChecks to DWORD = 1

sigh

want me to come over and do it for ya too?

lol

dude… what the f is up with my version of winders? :wtf:

I dont know if adding it is too smart… fing wierd

edit: possibly because I havent activated windows yet?

now that I think about it, the computers’ been acting strange lately. Last night when I was minimizing windows, they weren’t going to the taskbar (on either screen). I was having to alt+tab it

just add the damn thing pussy

remove it if it fucks up

adding it… I guess (from what I read) it’s ok to do
