I had a MythTV box installed on Debian Sid but I took it down a few weeks ago to work on a few things and I haven’t had the time to work on it. Running two Hauppauge PVR250 cards and thinking about buying a PVR500 card for it which would give me four tuners.
its jim… how do you like them? I’m running a PVR 150 from wintv
kevin, whats the difference? I was going to pickup an ATi HD card, but read some bad reviews on the ATi tuner cards. Figured this would be good enough for what I need…
what do you mean about not being able to filter it? I figured there would be a way to manipulate the picture to some point for better clarity (either by adding uniform noise to the picture or atleast scanlines to get rid of some of the “blockyness”). For example, the picture is much better in MS media center and SageTV than it is in BeyondTV… figured it was probably by the way the signal was filtered/recieved by the program.
dont get me wrong… the picture isnt bad, but for watching on a 21" CRT it’s not all that great. I’m sure if it were on a regular TV, it would look ok.
i thought u ment get a better picture out of adelphia, im sure there are some programs out there tho that let u do that, im not sure of which tho, since i havnt used a tv tuner in ages.
Can’t complain about the quality, although getting them to the point that they are at took quite a bit of work. I had the box in the basement and wired everything to the living room above and connected directly to the TV, no mouse/keyboard.
