No one is going to push an Escalade to it’s handling limits on the street either. Why would you even bother considering what it is? The Escalade in the video is going to flip just as easily as a stock one if they have to swerve for something at normals speeds, the amount of power the thing makes is irrelevant.
Braking is the only thing that should matter with that kind of power level/mass and it seems like they already have that covered…
Sorry but these two statements are ridiculously conflicting. First you say they should have done it in an SRT-8 or a TBSS and then you turn around say that kind of power level should only be for cars?

finalgts - no i do understand that momentum and that engery is far greater in a heavier vehicle, but comparing this to a tractor trailer? come on, thats a bit extreme. atleast the guys that made this truck thought enough to upgrade the discs/calipers on the brakes. are you against the cars of the muscle car era? those handled worse then this escalade probably does and they were still tanks for being a car, but oh hey, some of them did have a good amount of power. sure not as much as this, but for that technology it was quite a bit. and even in a sports car youre still going to have a few ohshit moments. anyone stupid can do major damage, but not everyone is stupid and does have some common sense. hell, you could do major damage in something with just 50hp if youre stupid enough. the fact is what they did to this truck is put more power in it. clearly they did not care about how it will handle or they would have done that as well. it is an advertisement for a power adder, not something to help handling. it is just about the horsepower and/or torque they increased.
and newman, quit being a douche. if youre afraid that i am an engineer, well then dont bother going to any hospitals when you hurt yourself and dont plan on going into any schools or universities, esp lab science buildings as i design the plumbing and fire protection systems for those buildings.

Just watched the video. The GTR is like 1 car behind. The reaction time alone could be enough to cause a difference like that. No in car videos and a cut from beginning to end? From the way that the domestic guys were talking, I figured that the truck was going to crush the GTR.

The speed at which these vehicles would swerve at is relevant. This caddy can reach speeds that the stock truck cannot and faster. So handling is a factor.
