I was wondering if anyone on the board is running two exhaust cams in the KA. What kind of gains did you get and how the power band change. I’m debating it right now because I got an extra set of cams from my last motor. Thanks in advance.
I’m not familar with the 2 exhaust cams one. I’m am however familar with swaping the exhaust for intake in the 91 DOHC. Do a search on NICO- www.nissaninfiniticlub.com
I have heard rumour of 10 hp gains. I don’t know how true that is though :?
But the intake cam has a shorter duration than the exhaust. I don’t really see how it would benifit :?:
neither do I :?:
I’d search on NICO, but I’m pretty busy. Go search there KA24E/KA24DE forum.
I remember it being brought up numerous times.
Yah. I made a post there before and everyone said try it and see, but I just want see if anyone has done it first hand.
My friend did it but didn’t know to set the timing back 3 degrees on the
exhaust cam so both the intake and exhaust valves opened at the same
time colliding into the piston leaving him with a blown engine so be careful.
Nope, Mike put 91’ cams in his car.
- All S13 cams are the same, 1991 - 1994 the only difference
is in the S14 cams. Putting S13 cams in a S14 causes an increase
of power of about 10%
Swapping both cams? Or swapping intake or exhaust cam individually?

Both.
Using the S13’s both intake and exhaust cams in the S14’s KA
will result in an increase of power of about 10%
