Ubuntu on your parents computer..

I swear I tried everything

command line is no big deal to me, I setup a quick alias for the full command and to be frank, I prefer it that way. Some whiney anti-command line fggts would complain though.

lol

i have no idea what the hell is going on in here

The other VPN that I use is now on Cisco’s AnyConnect client. That guy installed super easy and works like a charm.

Installing it on an extra computer I had sitting under my desk at work right now. Thinking about doing a dual boot setup at home on the laptop if I like it.

i dual boot win7 and the lastest ubuntu on my thinkpad t60…i usually run ubuntu and use win7 for those windows only programs

.

Update:

Happily running Ubuntu on my laptop with the option to dual boot to XP Media Center. I’m using Gnome-RDP to connect to my server and have Photoshop CS5 portable running great in Wine. Ubuntu mapped to my laser printer shared from my Windows 7 box no problem. It’s running far better than XP did on the laptop. It’s not as simple to set up as a Windows machine but overall its not bad if you’re a little bit techie and capable of getting answers from Google. So far the wife hasn’t had any problems with it and loves how much quicker it is to come out of sleep and be usable.
