I’m getting my 240 painted this summer and am playing around with this idea I have about painting the black under the rear window to match the colour of the car. Not the entire section but just the part that meets the end of the roof down. Here is a photoshop of what I’m talking about.
I think it would look really nice. My only concern is the black trim around the window.
paint doesnt stick to good to glass … maybe if it was primed good and then scuffed the final coat would stick but getting primer to stick to the glass might be a little tricky
i don`t understand in the that pic it looked like you where pointing the window could you maybe be a bit more specific? so are you planing on painting the black piece between the window and door?
well, it is now my understanding that I cannot remove the black paint off the original window and that my only option if I choose to do this, would be to get Lexan windows
However, if you paint it black, tint your windows and paint your roof black too so that the whole car is black from half way up then it could look good.
If you paint all the black except the window it looks like an FC haha, its definetly different. i seen it done on a white car and all the side window where black was…was white not jsut the front part…looked hot.
anyways if anyone knows the rear hatch spoiler in that first picture or where to get one…let me know!
