Urban Exploration & Photography

Is there any way to climb concrete central without rappelling up the carts? I found one spot on the far right end with a couple ropes to pull yourself up, got up the first one but didn’t trust the second rope.

Probably going to start exploring around buffalo and Lockport weekly now that schools almost out if anyone else is interested in going…

We also checked out an abandoned church near the grand central terminal, but there was only one way in and there were a couple people eying us up from their porch so we bailed for the day and decided to come back on a rainy day when there was less chance of people being outside.

PM me if any Of you guys wanna meet up sometime.

There’s an old grain mill close to my neighborhood in Buffalo. I used to ride my bike from my neighborhood (South Buffalo) to downtown and used to pass it all the time. One day I saw that there was no door so I had my buddy watch our bikes as I ventured in. I walked about five feet and when I saw it was pitch black I ran out because I was thinking of what could have possibly been in there.

I went home and googled it and found a brave photographer who got in there and took pictures. As he walked in he saw someone walk out who looked cracked out and when he went in he found a picnic table with no dust on it and other things that make it seem people were living there.

PM me if you want the location but don’t think I’ll be going with you! lol

Yeah. That’s the easy way. I’ve probably gone up them 50+ times.

word I did it that way too, but this last time was way to fun! Can’t wait to do it again with a stop watch!

i’m not sure where you went up, but there was a total of about 3 stairs from bottom to top

Do you guys use the big carts outside or go up through the front side of the elevators in the building that’s attatched?

i went up in the attached building, the two ropes will hold you(obviously check them first) then you walk up the stairs(whats left of them) all the way to the top

i’m down for another trip there this coming weekend if you want to wait

headed down to Cargills/Concrete Central tomorrow afternoon if anyone else would like to go… Went and checked out a couple places in Lockport today, nothing crazy but pretty cool stuff if your into old motorcycles.

Its called the motorcycle graveyard http://dcclassiccycles.dynamitedave.com/graveyard.html

There arent nearly as many bikes in there now, but there are barrels upon barrels of unopened parts, whole bikes still in there, i found some magazines from the 80’s still in tact. It was a neat place for sure, its a shame that its all just going to sit there and rot away now that lockport owns it.

Heres some shitty pictures of where ive been the last couple weeks

where is the place with the piano?

For all those going to Cargill’s and Concrete Central, there are cameras at the RR bridge, and sometimes people watch them, because they’ve come over the loudspeaker and told me to get off the bridge. You’re better off taking the walk from rt5 area.

It’s on the top floor of one of the Pendleton castles

We’ve always just driven straight back there along the RR tracks without a problem coming from Ohio St. There were probably 5 different cars back there yesterday when we went. Originally we planned on walking across the bridge but I heard that it’s risky and just asking for trespassing charges or whatever.

this happened to me like 2 weeks ago lol

Here’s the route we took on the inside of Concrete Central

Definitely crossed that train bridge to get to concrete central. noticed cameras on both sides of the bridge, and if im not mistaken both sides of the tracks to. lol also had a csx worker sitting in his truck on the way over… lazy bastard doing nothing with his job but sitting there. had no problems. then on the way back, he was standing outside his truck about a football field length away. we just keep walking fast and across the bridge… guy didnt move or say a word. What a great job he did. haha

Have any of you Guys been to the Transfiguration Church that’s over near Central Terminal?

No but I’ve seen pictures of the inside. Just like all the other churches on the east side, it’s beautiful. Well, it was.
