in the wiki article it mentions that they have been trying to give it away but no one will take it
oh im sure north korea would take it.
but really whens the last time there was a naval battle of any kind, somolia? That barly counts.
The mothball ship that my wife was on can be summed up in two words: bird shit. Not nearly as interesting as this story/photos!
2003 six carrier battle groups were use in the Iraq invasion.
2001 carrier strike groups used to kick off the war in Afghanistan.
1990 six carrier battle groups were used in Desert Shield/Storm.
Carriers, and the ships that support them, are a huge asset to our military.
Sea Shadow’s super cool - but the iron that interests me there is the USS Iowa. Last battleship class built by our navy and the greatest of all time. 16" cannons… nine of them. Throws a 1-ton+ shell nearly 25 miles.
Carrier Battle Groups are the “big stick” in our military. You park one in someone’s backyard to let 'em know you mean srs bznz.
i wonder how much debt china would forgive in exchange for the sea shadow?
Call it a funeral at sea for the U.S. Navy’s Sea Shadow. The stealth ship, which served as an inspiration for the supervillain’s supervessel in the James Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies,” is set to be dismantled and recycled.
